Serial Prescriptions

A serial prescription is a prescription for medicine(s) you need to treat a long term condition, they can be issued for up to 48 weeks and the prescription is stored at the pharmacist.  This means you would only need to visit the pharmacist for your repeat medication during this time and you don't need to remember to keep reordering it from your GP.  For more information please see the attached leaflet.  If you are interested please speak to your GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or pharmacist.
